An election hasn't been called and, according to Sister Anna, will not be called until August or September next year. However drunken pink pigs continue to fly throughout the cosmos.

It seems to be the mantra of all Labor aparatchiks, that they always promise new "openness", "accountability" and "two way dialogue" in their quest for office. It's their way of dog whistling to the electorate that somehow their opposition is a closed society. For example, have a look at our Premier Sister Anna.

When Sister Anna tookover as "revered leader" from Powerpoint Peter Beattie, she vowed to lift the standards in the Queensland Parliament. She offered "openess", she offered "civility", she offered "policy." Indeed she went as far as to say that "name calling is the last refuge of those with nothing to say."

The issue of water was certainly getting tongues wagging in Brisbane this week. Sister Anna has done a backflip on recycled water going into our dams as well as building the Traveston Dam on the mary River. All this in one day. 

Can you see the flying pink pigs across the sky? They're a result of Siste Anna's latest "cross my heart, hope to die" pledge that there will be no early election.

The Douglas versus Cairns issue has taken grip of the Cairns Regional Council yet again. At a Council meeting this week Councillor Sno Bonneau apparently labelled the last Douglas Shire Council budget as a “Con Job”. He's quite right of course.

Main Roads Minister and Member for Mulgrave, Warren Pitt, needs to come up with a new response to any issue that he's saddled with. Time after time, Pitt responds to any issue that attacks anything to do with his port folios with a stock standard accusation of "insenstivity" and "political point scoring during a time of tragedy"
